Hatching Chicken Eggs For Sale
We are pleased to offer Hatching Eggs for sale from our flocks of traditional breed chickens and turkeys. All of our birds are free range and fed on organic poultry pellets. The cockerels/stags are always with their specific breed hens and ratios between them are at levels to ensure maximum fertility.
We hatch chicks from our own hatching eggs so we know fertility levels are high, however, we cannot be held responsible for breakages in the post or hatch rates as these latter will depend upon individual incubation techniques and the post. Travelling by post can have an affect upon hatchability because of shaking during transit. We package all of our hatching eggs very carefully and our eggs will be sent out at a maximum of 5 days old. All eggs are cleaned and sanitised before sending and are carefully stored in a cool room.
Upon receipt, we recommend storing the eggs overnight at ordinary room temperature before placing them in your incubator. This allows the eggs to settle after transit and warm up so as to avoid ‘shock’ on being introduced to the warmth of your incubator.
You may purchase with confidence from Over the Stile as we strive to bring you the very best hatching eggs on the market. Fertility rates are excellent and our hens and cockerels/stags are of a very high quality. We cannot guarantee ‘show quality’ birds as we breed to promote and maintain traditional rare breeds as well as egg production.
